Berlin Buzzwords 2012 is a conference for developers and users of open source software projects, focussing on the issues of scalable search, data-analysis in the cloud and NoSQL-databases. Berlin Buzzwords presents more than 30 talks and presentations of international speakers specific to the three tags "search", "store" and "scale".

Updateable fields and other fun with Codec API

Lack of field-level updates in Lucene has been a long-standing issue. I'm going to present several interesting applications that use the Lucene 4 Codec API, mainly a design and implementation of updateable fields and also examples of online index filtering and mirroring of index data using codecs, and an implementation of a single-pass index splitter.
